"First Flight" Studio Teaser
Orlando Peña is a Singer/Songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was there that he cut his teeth in various local acts before moving to Rochelle, Illinois.
In his new home, he found solace on a family farm which proved to be exactly what he needed to nurture his craft. His style contains the beautiful imagery and storytelling qualities of traditional folk and country music, but with modern instrumentation and rhythms that come from his eclectic background.
Although it is his own music, rarely ever do we find him alone on stage. Often, he is being joined by any number of what seems to be an infinite well of musicians in his arsenal. One night you may find him being accompanied by a banjo, dobro the next, rich three part harmonies another, whatever the scenario it always guarantees a fresh sound and an exciting show to watch!
In his short time as a resident of Illinois, Orlando Peña has garnered much attention through performances at some of Chicago's finest venues such as The House of Blues, Cubby Bear, and Navy Pier. It is with much enthusiasm that we watch this young songwriter as he begins to reach out beyond the Midwest.
"Fabled Plains got its start in 2017 when singer/songwriter Orlando Pena began his search for a violinist, found in Abby Rose.
The band continued to grow with the addition of electric guitarist Bryan Olson and bassist Cory Ellis. Fabled Plains’ sound is eclectic, building on folk, rock, blues and funk elements.
They make use of heartfelt melodies, exciting instrumentals and ringing three-part harmonies. Listen to upcoming single “Settling” at Orlandopenamusic.com."

"Orlando Pena is a fantastic musician and a hidden gem ... he has played the Kiss on a couple of occasions and we've marveled and have been blown away by his talent. If you have never caught an Orlando performance, then you need to drop by the Kiss this Saturday afternoon and take in Mr. Pena's set. You'll be glad you did while setting the marvelous tone for the rest of the day and weekend."
